Critical timescales

• This test can be run as either an initial screening or at any point from 48 hours after treatment completion, distinguishing it from other methods that require a minimum three-week wait.  This shortened sample exclusionary period makes it highly effective for post-treatment evaluations, to check treatment efficacy.  The ability to conduct earlier testing means either normal activities can be resumed sooner or the administration of additional treatments can be arranged more quickly if required, thereby minimising the duration of contagion from any lingering infection.
• Upon arrival of the sample into the lab, there is up to a 5 working day turnaround on this test although results will be issued via email as soon as they are signed off by the duty lab manager.  If you require the results by a certain deadline e.g. ahead of a vet’s appointment, please contact us prior to ordering and we may be able to expedite the testing via prior arrangement.
• This test has a use by date of at least 6 weeks from point of order and it must be returned to the lab on or any time before the use by date.
